In 2021, Holy Transfiguration celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Below are the events we celebrated and recordings of the hymns we continue to sing together.
Holy Transfiguration – the Music
Holy Transfiguration is blessed with a wonderful and active congregation whose unified voice sings praise to God and fills the Church during every service. Please enjoy a few of our hymns sung by the congregation, some of the ladies, and many of our younger members, by clicking on the links below:
Holy Transfiguration – Icon, Logo, and By the Numbers
Interested in knowing more about the Icon of the Transfiguration? How about our Church Logo – any idea what it means? And how many baptisms do you think have occurred at Holy Transfiguration since our founding? Father Mark answers these questions and more – and they’re just a click away.
Jubilee Farewell: January 16, immediately following Divine Liturgy
As we thank God for our many blessings, our founding families, and our clergy who have served or do now serve our parish family, please join us as we officially close our jubilee year. We will celebrate with cake and bubbly and hope you will join.
Parish Mahrajan: September 19
Ahlan wa Sahlan! Join the celebration of our 50th anniversary with a parish-wide outdoor picnic. There will be plenty of food and drink to enjoy together and we will also have an open air photo booth on hand so you can take home a keepsake from this special day. We hope to see you there!
50 Acts of Charity in 50 Days: March, ongoing
As we thank God for our many blessings and in commemoration of our 50th Anniversary, join us in our next Jubilee event: 50 Acts of Charity in 50 Days. Perform acts of charity as a way to honor those who served and sacrificed before us, including our Church ancestors and loved ones.
Pick from the attached list of suggested “Acts of Charity” and perform a different Act each day, or come up with your own Acts.
Such Sweet Memories: Yours to Enjoy
Our 50th Anniversary kickoff event on January 10th saw Fr. Mark share some of the “Such Sweet Memories” that you, our parishioners, shared with us. If you were unable to enjoy that event, or you’d like to read all of the memories submitted, Parishioners may request a copy of “Such Sweet Memories” by emailing: LadiesGuildHT@gmail.com
Cupcakes & Bubbly: January 10, immediately following Divine Liturgy
Take home a gift bag with cupcake and bubbly (non-alcoholic) for each member of your family to join the toast later in the afternoon (see below). If you are not attending Divine Liturgy, stop by immediately after to pick up your gift bags.
Such Sweet Memories: January 10, 4pm ET
Join us for a Virtual Happy Hour as we toast this wonderful milestone for our Parish and hear Fr. Mark share some of the “Such Sweet Memories."
To receive the link, please RSVP by January 8 to: LadiesGuildHT@gmail.com
